Why post frame

More building for the money, and it goes up faster.

Post frame sets structural posts directly into the ground or onto engineered brackets, which means no continuous foundation and far fewer materials holding up the same roof. You get wide clear spans with nothing in the middle of the floor, and you get them for noticeably less than stick framing the same footprint.

It is also quick. A straightforward shop is usually weather tight in a matter of weeks, not months.

  • Clear spans with no interior posts in your way
  • Door openings framed for real trucks and trailers
  • Insulation and interior finish whenever you are ready for it
  • Built on your slab or ours

Sizing it

Common shop sizes, and what they hold.

If you are not sure what size you want, start here. Most people end up one size larger than they first ask for, and almost nobody regrets it.

30 x 40 · 1,200 sq ft

Two vehicles plus a real workbench and storage. The smallest size that still feels like a shop.

40 x 60 · 2,400 sq ft

The most requested build we do. Trucks, a trailer, equipment and room to work around all of it.

60 x 80 · 4,800 sq ft

Commercial sized. Multiple bays, tall doors and space for a lift or a full fabrication setup.

Every size comes with our standard features included. Concrete, site prep, permits, doors and interior finish are quoted once we have seen your site.

Standard, not upgrades

Five things other builders charge extra for.

These come on every JTW building. They are not line items on your quote and they are not an upsell at signing.

01

Extended eaves

Wider overhangs keep weather off your siding and doors, which is what actually makes a building last out here.

02

Optimized ventilation

Ridge and soffit venting sized to the building, so you are not fighting condensation on your equipment every winter.

03

Enhanced garage entry

Properly headed and framed door openings, set at heights that fit real trucks, trailers and tractors.

04

Heightened security

Solid door hardware and framing details that make the building harder to get into when nobody is home.

05

Durable finishing

Trim, closures and fastening done to last, not done to get the crew off the site a day early.
